Sterling silver souvenir spoon with "Cotton Picker" above a figure of a black man hauling a basket of cotton from field growth in the bowl, and a scene of "Memphis, Tenn." river traffic along the handle, and on the back of the handle "Forest Monument" above a figure on a horse, and below a building with "New Country Club" above, and "Confederate Monument" and a squirrel below that. The spoon weighs .87 troy oz. and measures 5 5/8 inches long and 1 1/8 inches across the bowl.... Marked on the back of the handle with the maker's mark "S" of Shepard Mfg. Co. and "Sterling". There are very fine shallow surface scratches and a bit of scuffing on the back of the bowl, otherwise in good condition.
