Up for sale is this Nice Vintage American Airlines Tin Litho 4 Propeller Battery Operated Airplane. Made in Japan by Yonezawa Trade Mark Y. This old airplane is in very nice condition considering it’s age. I tried it with two D batteries and only 3 of the propellers spin. When you switch it to Run the wheels also spin. There are lights inside of the propellers and when I first tried it they did flicker on, but for some reason now only the left prop lights up. The battery compartment ...is clean with no corrosion to the wires and terminals, but there is one bad spot were the paint is wore through with a bit or surface rust. It looks like two or three of the blades may have been glued/repaired at some point, but they seem sturdy. I also noticed a small repair on the right wing tip. It measures about 15 inches long and has a wing span of about 14 1/2 inches. The main body/fuselage is made out of tin and the wings are made out of molded in color gray plastic. Overall condition is nice with no large dings or dents, just some minor abrasions and scratches. I try to always point out or show the worst parts in the photos.
