Vintage Mint WATERMANS 46 SAFETY Pen - Fountain Pen - C1918 - USA - Box / InstMottled Vulcanite - Flexible No 6 Fine Nib -Outstanding
Please note this is sold as a collectors item it has not been restored.This Waterman's 46 safety fountain Pen was manufactured around the late 1910's in the USA.Mottled chased vulcanite (hard rubber).Measures a chunky 5 1/2 inches. I hesitate to use the word mint on a pen this age but I do not think it has ever been inke...d. The chased design is sharp with no fading or browning, the number 46 on the base is still in red.Nib. Nib marked - Ballpoint - Watermans - Ideal - New York -6, Writes a flexible fine. Barrel. Imprint - Pat'd 1884 - May 23 1899 & Aug 4 1903 Watermans - Fountain Pen - New York - USA - and the Ideal log. Free of scratches, dents, dings or bite marks. Gold filled large scroll design cap bands. Marker in red 46 on the base.Cap. Watermans ideal clip cap fixed ball end a clip (firm) again in top condition. Comes in box with instructions.Restoration. The pen has been restored just hand polished. Overall. An outstanding Watermans 46 Safety pen. Should be in a collection.Postage.
