Great gift for anyone connected with St. John's/Cambridge.
This wonderful antique print depicts a view of the "new" buildings at St. John's College, Cambridge, from within the cloisters. It is a hand coloured steel engraving print on paper. It was engraved by J. Le Keux and the artist was F. Mackenzie. It is an ill...ustration from "Memorials of Cambridge" published by Tilt & Bogue, London c1842.
It is enscribed below the image, as follows:

This is a finely executed scene in good condition for its age - some light browning/foxing to the print as to be expected given its age. The frame and glass are in good order and ready to hang (mounted/framed by Lovely's Gallery). Please check carefully as photos form part of description. The print is under glass so apologies for any reflections in the photos.
