This auction is for a vintage real photo postcard (RPPC) with the handwritten caption in pen in the lower front margin: “LINDY” IN PANAMA 1928. NO other info or names are written on the postcard. Note that some of the faces in the image are blurry which you can see if you view the enlarged version, but Charles Lindbergh is clear. This is a postally-unused postcard has a AZO stamp box with four squares at the corners which dates the printing to between 1926 and the 1940s. This postc...ard measures approx. 5-3/8” x 3-3/8” with the actual image a bit less due to the white margin.
Please read this description and review the close-up scans carefully. Postcard has rounded, worn corners (especially the left two corners where the paper is just starting to separate into layers). Photo surface has minor scratches, a few see-through fingerprints, and gray smudges in the margin area. Back side has overall smudgy light gray soil. Postcard has a light flattened bend at the lower left area and is not perfectly smooth due to handling. Postcard as a whole curves upward a wee bit. There is the handwritten caption noted above. No other writing. NO weird or musty odors. The red “moonchildbooks” blurb does not appear on the actual postcard.
