For sale is a stunning cup and saucer made by Sevres in 1960/65. The set has their famous deep cobalt blue ground color with a superb fancy gold trim that reminds me of palm leaves covering a lot of the sides and some tiny scattered gold designs to the center of the saucer and inside of the cup. A much nicer trim than I have seen for these types of cups and simply stunning. I always love how they even color the underside rim of the saucer blue - just a nice touch! The set is in perfec...t condition which is always a plus. Both pieces are marked underneath - the cup having the green Sevres mark with 65 under it while the saucer has the year 60 under it - it is completely normal for this maker to have different year marks on a set! Both also have the red Dore a Sevres mark as well as the usual incised marks Sevres of this period has as well as the painter's marks, etc. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The cup is just over 2 inches tall and 2.125 inches in diameter. 20th century 20thC France
