Vintage Heuer 2448 Gold Filled Chronograph Watch Case Valjoux 72 NOS condition Super sharp unpolished case

Vintage Heuer 2448 Carrera gold filled case in excellent unpolished condition with incredibly sharp lugs and with just a few age related marks. Case is stamped gold filled and carries the 2448 reference number between the lugs. Also has a 10xxxx serial number clearly visible. This is one of the earlier gold filled 2448 cases, that were l...ater gold plated. Gold filled is when the base metal case is wrapped in a sheet of gold and heated to a high temperature to fuse the gold to the case. This created a deeper gold layer with a lovely tactile lustre and feel. No tarnishing or wear so this is like new old stock condition. Pushers are correct low profile 4.3mm type. There is no plexi-glass included in the sale but this model takes a 32.5mm tension ring crystal. 18mm lug spacing as typified by all the early Carrera models. The case only takes the legendary Valjoux 72 movement. No crown included.
Case BackThe screw fit stainless case back is also in immaculate condition with its original brushed finish and Heuer Leonidas stamping inside. Also stamped Stainless Steel Back to reflect that the case is gold filled..
