DIAL: White enamel dial with black Roman numerals signed at 12 o'clock "J.W. BENSON LONDON" gilt spade and pin hands subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock dial in good original condition as visible in picture.
MOVEMENT: Gilded key wound 3/4 plate English lever movement signed "THE "LUDGATE" WATCH J.W. Benson PATENT No 4658 BEST LONDON MAKE BY WARRAN...T TO H.M. THE QUEEN LUDGATE HILL LONDON" serial number 26678SEIAL in good working order comes with period winding key.
CASE: Solid silver engine turned case with vacant cartouche to back very minor dent on edge of cartouche hallmarked silver London 1885 makers mark J.W.B. for J.W. Benson of Ludgate Hill London, diameter 51.9 mm total weight 137 grams.
BOX: Comes in a new non original cardboard box.
