They were reportedly made in the 60's and 70's after the original American Waltham Watch Co sold it's rights to other companies.
The watch movement measures 12s. It is marked 17 jewel and has an "HF" trademark with the X40 model mark underneath the bridge. Came in a bag with the front and back of the case removed. They do not want to snap on easily, and I am not going to force them. You will receive the item just as shown in the first pic.
