Let them eat cake in high style! Presented is a set of 6 antique English sterling silver dessert forks made in 1846 by George W. Adams of Chawner & Company in London. This set is of nice weight and high quality, styled with a simple, round-ended handle with an antique tipt (raised fan-shape at the tip).
The back of each fork is beautifully hand monogrammed with a W ...and is stamped with the lion passant for sterling silver purity, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter L for the year 1846, the duty mark of Queen Victoria's head, and the maker's mark for George W. Adams of Chawner & Company.
This set is in excellent condition. There is some light surface wear but there are no damages and no repairs.
