This is one of the best pair of Murano venetian glass lamps I have seen. The color is an eye catching rootbeer deep amber overlaid with very heavy gold gild and hand painted by a very skilled artist. I have had the perfume bottles like this but never a pair of lamps. They stand 32 inches tall to the finials. Each depicts a greek roman scene of a soldier offering to a maiden & father a dowery for her for marriage with the temple of Athena (?) in the background...the scene is exquisi...tely etched by a master artist with great detail...beautiful patterns of gold around the top & bottom...intricate metal base & three way switches...awesome lamps!
