A very happy Dutch girl celebrating the liberation of Holland from German occupancy at the end of WWII. The doll was made circa 1945-46 by Unica, a Belgian company. There were several others in this series in various costumes including a soldier in military uniform.The composition type head has a molded Dutch cap. She wears a colorful costume trimmed with coin-like metal discs. Her wooden shoes are a cheerful bright red. The body is stuffed cloth, jointed at the shoulders and hips....Super original paint, some vintage staining to body and clothes, all original with tag Liberated Holland, Unica patent, Country Belgium
