CONN 6M TRANSITIONAL ALTO SAXOPHONE W/ RARE YORK NECK PLAYS WELL
Item History & Price
This early 6M (often considered a Transitional 6M) has Factory features that were only available for a few short years:1. Conn's New York (Double Sleeve) Neck. This Original Neck is in Excellent Condition 2. Swivel "Right Hand" Thumbrest. Conn Featured the Swivel Thumbrest only on their Early 6M Altos. Great Feature. ...; Additional "Standard" Conn Features on this Alto:1. Double socket Neck2. Rolled Tone Holes This Alto may have originally been a Nickel Plated Model or a Bare Brass Model, for the Bell has only the minimal "Made by C. G. Conn Elkhart, Indiana" Engraving. So, many consider one of these models that had a coat of lacquer applied as 1st Lacquer Saxophones. Check out the photos and you will see that the Lacquer on this Alto was professionally applied Many years ago.
Check out the photos of this Vintage Conn 6M (Tranny Model), and you will see just how nice the Condition is on this Alto. I see no signs of any previous repairs, and there are no Dents on this alto.
The current Conn Reso Pads must have been applied when the Alto received its first coat of lacquer. I had my Techguy perform a professional regulation on this Alto so it will play excellent for it new owner. The Case is a Very Nice "Aftermarket" case, purchased many years ago.
Any question(s) you may have after reviewing the photos etc., let me know. Thanks for taking a look.
