EVANS ARCHIVE IS HOSTING BROWN BROTHERS THE OLDEST STOCK PHOTO AGENCY IN THE U.S.  
Recently acquired by Lelands, Brown Brothers is the last of the great photo archives 
A unique archive, it originates from the 1900s to 1930s. But it also includes  the 19th century right up to the 1960s. We will be offering thousan...ds of original, vintage images on eBay in the coming months. They will cover all areas of popular culture:  sports, Hollywood (including many of the celebrated Photographers such as George Hurrell and Nickolas Muray), music, historical, and more.

Historic Negative CollectionNegative from the Brown Brothers Photo Archive file marked "Moving Pictures".    Rare image showing film editing, rolling or splicing in process.  May be Vitagraph or National Studios.The Vitagraph Company in Brooklyn was the first producer of silent films and started the film industry as we know it today.  Established in 1897 and using an Edison patent movie camera, J.
