This is a mid Showa Era (c. 1960) chagama (Japanese tea ceremony kettle). It is made of cast iron with a bronze lid and has a deep relief image in the form of a riveted bucket (see pictures 8 & 9). The bronze lid has a chrysanthemum flower bud finial on the top (see picture 4).
