This is an original GI issue pile cap. It is size 7 ½ and in excellent, used condition. There is a spot on the left flap where it bends from the flap to the back side that was damaged somehow. The GI sewed it around the edge so it wouldn’t fray. Other than that, the hat does not look like it was worn much, if at all. The tags are a good indicator of condition on a garment and these tags are still crisp and white. It is a legitimate size 7 ½.
