DESCRIPTIONThird edition.With a Preface by the Editor.Captain Rock was a mythical Irish folk hero. The name was also used for an agrarian rebel group in the south west of Ireland from 1821-1824. The Rockites, or Captain Rock, were responsible for up to a thousand incidents of murder, arson and mutilation during their short active time.
CONDITIONIn a half calf leather binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, sound with slight rubbing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. There is a bookbinder's label and a bookplate to the front pastedown. There is also an ink inscription to the title-page.
