Highly desirable used original 1900 first edition first printing of James Guthrie's : AN ALBUM OF DRAWINGS, softcover/wraps, seven by nine inches, 22 full-page b&w plates of his designs of Fairies, Elves and Angels, gorgeous Arts & Crafts style and content -- front cover and spine are very clean but there is scattered foxing internally (see pics). Inspired by William Morris (and founder of Pear Tree Press), he is definitely a member of the Pre-Raphaelite school, and in fact the... extraordinarily skilled Clemence Housman did much of his engraving. Published at White Cottage in Kent, printed by W.H. Broome of London in 1900. In very good condition, no writing or marks in the text, as pictured and described.
