John Bunyan’s Visions of Heaven and Hell describes how he al...most succumbed to the indoctrination of an atheist, but for the intervention of Divine Love. John was conducted to Heaven to see the glories of what should be the inheritance of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. From Heaven, John was transported to Hell to witness the eternal torments of damned souls. The conversations he had with lost souls in Hell, including a notable atheist, are all described in Visions of Heaven & Hell
An interesting title, and one that is contested to have been written by Bunyan at all!
Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, or a Brief Relation of the Exceeding Mercy of God in Christ to his Poor Servant John Bunyan is a Puritan spiritual autobiography written by John Bunyan. It was composed while Bunyan was serving a twelve-year prison sentence in Bedford gaol for preaching without a license and was first published in 1666.The title contains allusions to two Biblical passages: 'Grace Abounding' is a reference to the Epistle to the Romans 5:20, which states 'Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound' (KJV) and 'Chief of Sinners' refers to the First Epistle to Timothy 1:15, where Paul refers to himself by the same appellation.
Three works by Bunyan (?) bound in one volume. A fantastic opportunity to own this fascinating Religious interest title.
