Description Item: We have a vintage marine life preserver! The piece is marked “Flamingo Miami Beach.” We did some research on Flamingo Miami Beach and believe it may be from one of three possible locations. The first and most exciting may be from the Flamingo Yacht that did exist in the 1930s. We found a photo on Worthpoint. The second possibility is the Neptune Flamingo Yacht Club, which is no longer active. Finally, it could possibly be from the Flamingo Hotel. The hotel overlooked Biscayne Bay on the west side of the newly formed city of Miami Beach, Florida, until the 1950s, when it was torn down to make room for the new Morton Towers development - which is now known as the Flamingo South Beach (From Wikipedia). The preserver would display nicely on a wall for a terrific nautical look! Size and Makeup: Approx. 20” in diameter. Made of a canvas, and floating material. Condition: Typical signs of use and age. COMBINED SHIPMENTS are sent Standard Mail or FEDEX only (no matter what the auction may list as the shipper)!! Sometimes we can ship multiple item purchases cheaper through Standard Mail or FEDEX than it would cost to ship 1 or 2 items by USPS Priority Mail.
