Very lovely and classic 16" long strand of cultured Salt Water Pearls each... individually hand knotted. The lustrous pearls are large. They have a rich luster and are a creamy white in color. Pearls have their natural surface inclusions. The necklace's wonderful clasp is made of solid 14K white gold and prong and bezel set with one sparkling natural blue sapphire. Sapphire is present and original. Clasp is stamped on its prong section 14K and also has a maker's mark too small for me to read or photograph. May say OL LO? Attached to the clasp is a wonderful 14k white gold Bell Flower clasp. Quite a heavyweight pearl necklace Excellent original vintage condition.
We had two jewelers in our area authenticate this item as real pearls, real gold and a real sapphire. NO written certificate is given due to cost prohibitive for our small organization.Both agree necklace is valued at around $1000This is a stunning piece and we are lucky that this sale will help many homeless animals in our shelter....we thank you and the person that donated it! We will pay for the insurance so it arrives safely!
