This is a rare antique 1892 hardcover copy of A Wonder-Book Tanglewood Tales, and Grandfather’s Chair by Nathaniel Hawthorne. This is a Riverside Edition volume four of Thirteen printed by Houghton, Mifflin And Company. This is a very decorative book with the cover having marble coloring as well as the front and back end pages and even the side of pages when book is closed has the marble coloring. The cover does have corner scuffing down to the boards as well as scuffing along the ed...ges and on parts of the cloth on the front and back. The spine has scuffing as well with cloth with the title and author lettering being torn off which can be seen in the photos. The third page has a name in pencil. The illustration and wax paper page before the title page are loose from the book which can also be seen in the photos but are the only loose pages. The inside pages are otherwise in good condition especially for the age.
