Extremely Nice Early Gas Station Service Station Oil Dispenser. The small oval shape in the center front reads " Patent". This is a nice large size heavy metal dispenser, measuring 22" - 23" tall and 15" in diameter. It still has the original burnt Red paint with the gold paint trim. Nice black lettering still very vibrant. The dispenser itself is a heavy galvanized metal and the pump is Brass, it also comes complete with the wood ruler measuring the gallons of oil. You can see inside ...the filter or strainer, that lifts to add more oil, pump handle moves up and down, I did not try it with oil! The top opens nicely and sits on the shelf part of the can, very cool design. I noticed it didnt sit all the way down and latch, in the front, but I didnt want to force it, but I'm sure you could make it close by a little tweaking. I am not an expert in this field but I knew this was a great piece with original paint, I'm not sure of the age, but l had a friend who is a gasoline and gas station collector and in his opinion he dates this early teens, I thought 20's. Don't miss out on this wonderful piece of history. And if anyone has any information or age on this I'm happy to hear from you. Please look at all the pictures and please email me with questions I am happy to get back to you. If shipping is less than I charged I will refund the difference, This is a heavier piece and Large so must go standard mail, but will have insurance on it. NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, THIS NEEDS TO STAY IN THE US.
