Vintage 1969 Bulova 666ft Chronograph “Devil Diver”. Will come on the stainless steel mesh bracelet in some of the pictures! Thanks for checking out my listing! This is a beautiful vintage dive watch. Manufactured in 1969, this watch is the first edition of the beloved Bulova “Deep Sea Chronograph” as it doesn’t say “666 Feet” on the dial, has the long, rounded numerals on the bezel, and has the “Bulova” signed crown.Speaking of the bezel, it is a spectacular deep blue ...in some lighting and a beautiful faded “ghost” bezel in other lighting. The original lume pip is still present and glows faintly in the dark if you shine a flashlight on it. Not sure if the bezel rotation is supposed to click but it does not as I’ve seen with other vintage dive watch models. The gorgeous matte blue dial is in pristine condition along with the two white guilloche subdials. The lume at on the hands and at each hour marker have developed a nice creamy patina and still glow nicely in the dark if you shine a flashlight on them. The case is in a great unpolished condition with some scuff marks that are normal with wear and still retains its original brushed finish which is quite evident in some of the pictures.I have not opened or attempted to open the caseback in order to ensure that I wouldn’t throw off the accuracy of the watch, but a previous owner left a couple small scratches on the caseback that aren’t very noticable unless you’re trying to look for them. The chronograph function works great and the second hand sets back perfectly to 12:00. The minute tracking subdial will sometimes jump ahead a minute or two upon initiating the chronograph function if you don’t press down the pusher quickly but it still will track time from then on. If you press the pusher quickly you should have no trouble at all timing anything! The watch keeps pretty good time but the service history is unknown so do as you wish! The watch will come on the stainless steel mesh bracelet that is shown in a few of the pictures! Thanks again for looking!!!:)
