Available for your consideration is this HP Omnibook 300 in beautiful physical and working condition. It is probably one of the finest examples of the Omnibook 300 you'll find out there.
This particular unit comes from a senior Fujitsu Networks manager and appears to have seen minimal use. It's like opening a time capsule with the only real signs of wear being on the bottom with a few minor scuffs, as to be expected with an item this old. Overall, the machine is of museum-like q...uality and is in good working condition.
Once plugged in (with the original OEM battery installed), the on/off feature works well. You can press the on/off on the unit while plugged in and the screen will open to exactly where you last left off. I've then turned off the computer, unplugged the power adapter, then plugged back in the power adapter and the unit will not reboot without doing a reset (pressing the small reset button on on the back port, then pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and releasing the Ctrl+Del buttons, while holding down the Alt button (These are the steps in the included manual).
This particular unit features the additional RAM upgrade, increasing it to the maximum 4MB via a front slot on the chassis and uses the standard 40MB HDD with application card. It also includes both standard AC outlet and car cigarette lighter power adapters. You'll notice the fax/modem on the side and the IR port on the rear with no open slots - all covers are intact.

"Released in 1993, the original Omnibook 300 came with an Intel 386SXLV CPU and a nine-inch monochrome VGA display with 16 shades of gray. In a pinch, the Omnibook 300 could also run on 4 AA batteries. It came standard with 2 MB RAM, a 9-pin serial port and a parallel printer port. The Omnibook 300 had two PCMCIA slots in which to connect additional memory, modem, network card or other peripheral. The Omnibook came in three mass storage configurations: no mass storage (F1030A at $1515), 10MB flash disc (F1031A at $2375), or 40 MB hard disc (F1032A at $1950)."

While this item is in good working condition, it is being sold as-is due to age. I would trust adding it to any collection as it will bring many more years of enjoyment to its new owner. Shipping will be a flat-rate fee of $25 within the U.S. only.
