Description:Forbids is an attractive made in USA crystal radio BUG made by the Brush Pottery Co ofZanesville Ohio. An absolutely unique item even your grandchildren wouldadmire. The emerald color is an attractive feature of this iconic BUG crystalset. TheMystic is a basic crystal radio consisting of an inductor coil with slider andgermanium diode (2.7 volts forward bias measured). It does surprisingly workwell as I was able to get two stations using a 3 ft. slinky antenna, ...AC groundand a Marconi headset. See my setup photo!The key here is always to use aperfect headset with great magnetic properties, a long antenna (unlike what is used) and good ground. Thecrystal radio is in excellent condition for its age and is completely original. There are NO cracks NOR hairlines. A couple small areas show the usual porcelain attrition, but do not detractfrom this great conversation piece. Don’tlet this beauty get away, they don’t surface very often.
