Vintage KOREAN WAR US Army M - 1951 FISH TAIL PARKA W/ Wool Pile Liner, MEDIUM
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:64832 | Modified Item: No |
We are selling the "shell" and the pile liner. On the photos taken, the liner is buttoned up inside the shell.
The LINER has a stamp saying it was made by Salem Products Corp in March 1953. That stamp is shown on close-up # 10.
The SHELL has only one stamp, inside the hood, and it says this is the "Parka, Shell, M-1951" plus a list of instructions.
We were not able to find... any other stamps on the shell, but we are certain the shell and the liner are from the same owner, used at the same time, so it is safe to assume the shell was made in 1953.
For the same reason, we are assuming the shell and the liner share the same size, so we are saying this parka is size medium, but PLEASE CHECK THE ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS and make sure it fits.
Measurements, the parka flat on a table:
- 29" pit to pit across the chest;
- 24" shoulder seam to edge of cuff;
- 23" shoulder to shoulder across the front;
- 41" from collar seam to tip of the fish tail, along the back.
Notice the zipper is aluminum alloy CONMAR and that the fish tail shape is clearly visible on pic # 9.
PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU WANT THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE LINER ARE WELL.
