for auction is a vintage machinist lathe compound slide. It is a recent estate find. It has been partially cleaned. It could use some additional cleaning and lubrication. The slide operates well, and lock in place. The top section is slightly tight when adjusting and will need some grease on the threads. There is signs of use and user wear. It has small chips along some edges. ( see pictures) There are grease fitting on the necks of the adjusting fly wheels. One grease fitt...ing is missing. ( see picture 1) The compound cross slide came off and was used on a vintage Hardinge Cataract bench top metal lathe. Please see pictures for condition. Ask questions before you bid.
