Antique Red, White, & Blue Overshot Coverlet in a Nine Rose Pattern. This auction includes a 19th century Overshot Weave Coverlet. The pattern is created with a grouping of nine weaver’s style roses with an outline around the grouping. The nine rose motif is separated by a combination of four table motifs with a diamond in the center. The use of red and dark blue wool alternates through out the coverlet to highlight the motifs. There is a border on all four sides ...which is designed by outlining the nine roses motif which culminates with diagonal lines in red and blue in all four corners. The coverlet measures 74” x 91.” The coverlet is in good condition. There is some wear at the top edge. See photos for details.
