Antique Majolica C 1890 Goldscheider Terracotta Figurine Young Black Girl w/ Hat. This listing is for an antique, circa 1890, terracotta figurine of a young black girl holding a large brim hat in one hand by Friedrich Goldscheider. She measures about 9 3/4 inches or 24.7 cm high. She wears a long high collared dress and is holding a large brim hat in one hand. She has excellent attention to detail throughout, and is hand painted. It is signed on the bottom "F. GOLDSHC...EIDER RESERVE ". She is in overall very good condition, with only a couple of small chips at base and possible a couple of fleabites to hat. It became one of the most influential ceramic manufactories of terror cotta faience and bronze objects in Austria with subsidiaries in Paris leipzig and Florence.
