Totally Hand Finished and Hand Decorated by Designer Emilia Castill...o,
daughter of the famed Los Castillo family of artisans in Taxco, Mexico.
It is an elegant rendition of a Charming Family of Birds with articulated Lids.
Each Lid features a tiny little Silver Beaked matching Baby Bird
Castillo is fond of depicting "Critters in Motion", this fits the bill!
The specificity of detail on the figural Birds add to the texture and elaborateness of the design.The Coffee Pot is a long necked elegant Bird with a Sterling Beak
and decorated with Sterling Feathered Tail and Wing on both Sides
He is majestic and proud with a rather surprised expression on his face
He stands 11" tall x 11 3/4" from nose to tip of tail
Approximately 4" WIDE
The coffee is poured through the Sterling Beak which serves as the spout
Lid features a Finial of a tiny matching Bird with the silver feathers, eye and sterling Beak
Even the interior of the lid is enhanced with 3 sterling applied dragonflies.
Coffee Pot is marked 26The Teapot sits in a nesting position.

Dragonflies are spatially applied on the interior and exterior of the Cup
The Lid is the figural of the Bird with a Spread Winged Tail of 6 levels
And a 6 level wing spread across his shoulders
Silver Beak & Eye - suggesting "watch your sugar intake?!?"
Top is 2 3/4" Tall x 4 1/2" Long and 3" Wide
Total dimensions are 4 1/4" Tall x 4 1/2" Long and 3" Wide
The Creamer is a single piece with no lid and the Spout is the Silver Beak
This little critter has an open mouth as though he were in a conversation
The Fanned Tail Feather and Spread Wings are integrated into the porcelain
And, then Hand Painted with Silver
He is 4 1/4" Tall and 5 1/2" beak to tail and 3" WideOval White Porcelain Tray Platter is not large enough to hold the entire set

The narrow ends curl upward to create handles

It has been sitting in a glassed cabinet for many years totally untouched.
IT HAS NEVER BEEN USED. PERFECT NEW CONDITION.
The Decoration and applied work is entirely done by hand in STERLING SILVER.
