For Your Consideration A Fine Antique Chinese Canton Brise Feather Export Fan 清朝 咸丰帝/同治帝 Qing Era ca. 1860
Description This fan has carved guardsticks and inner sticks and handpainted goose feathers with marabou feather tips. The guardsticks show the usual figures in a garden setting. The inner sticks are carved on both sides with the usual dream garden scene with figures in a garden, houses, boats etc....
The fan measures ca. 11.5" long (including the marabou feathers) and ca. 19" wide at its widest point. The measurements for this fan in centimeters are ca. 29 cm long and 48 cm wide.
The fan is in very good, clean condition. All sticks are present and all of the wispy marabou feather tips are still attached to the goose feathers. However, both guardsticks have professional (probably by a jeweller), antique repairs (see last photos) - the one on the right guardstick is almost invisible.
Postage Packaging and postage to the UK via REGISTERED AND TRACKED AIRMAIL USING THE POST OFFICE will cost £13.40, within Europe via Airmail £13.80 (15.50 Euro), overseas via Airmail £14.70 (ca. US$18.50).
