Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique/vintage Early 1900s handmade patchwork quilt in a very RARE old pattern called Tree of Life/Pinwheel, Tree of Paradise, Pine Tree, or Forbidden Fruit -- highly VISUAL, using VIVID colors of JADITE green against a creamy background -- all old 100% cotton fabrics, picked especially for the making of this quilt -- straight edges, and narrowly binded and backed in the same creamy cotton used on the front -- lightly batted with 100% hand-combed cotton -- the quilt measures 74" x 90", and was totally hand-pieced and hand-quilted in generous double-rows and grids at 6-7 small stitches per inch -- everything EXTREMELY well-executed -- this seamstress was really "showing off" her handwork talent -- lots of time and talent go into matching this many points in the pattern, and the quilt lays nice and flat -- in VERY EXCELLENT antique condition -- light wear/gentle usage -- strong, sturdy, everything intact -- colors CRISP and VIBRANT -- appears in UNWASHED condition, stored away for MANY years -- the quilt needs cleaning, as it has small age spots/stains and surface soil scattered across it front and back -- everything looks highly liftable with some spot-treatment, a gentle soak or a quick trip to the cleaners which we will leave up to the new owner -- no other issues to report -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt would be PERFECT for country farmhouse or Victorian decors, laid across your bed, stacked in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
