VINTAGE SILVER SMOKER'S SET, 4 PIECE, VGC, POSSIBLY CONTINENTAL
DescriptionAn unusual vintage set of smoker's accessories - a gallery tray, matchbox holder, pedestal ashtray and cigarette holderThe tray is 8 3/4 inches long and 6 inches wide. It has a pierced filigree design gallery and stands on 4 ball feet.The cigarette holder stands 2 3/8 inches high and is 2 1/2 inches in diameterThe ashtray is two pieces - the insert has fixed central wire for resting ciga...rettes and is removable for cleaning. Ashtray stands on a pedestal base and is 2 inches high and just over 2 1/2 inches in diameter.The matchbox holder is also mounted on a pedestal base and has an unusual design, with raised insert and side striker panel. It stands 3 1/4 inches high.All items have the filigree design gallery top. All are marked with markings that we have been unable to decipher - please see photos for full details. We are in no doubt that the items are solid silver but it is possible that they are from a continental maker. Total weight of the items together is 340 g.ConditionVery good condition overall. Split to one corner of the filigree gallery on the match holder, tiny dent to the underside of ashtray, tiny signs of use over time. Slight pitting to the surface of tray.
