Vintage Ideal Japanese Pos’n Pepper Doll 1964 (Box) Very Rare

Konichiwa!Up for auction is this beautiful Japanese (Made in Japan) Ideal Pos’n Pepper Doll, which appears to have never been out of the box! Tammy’s Little Sister, Pepper, was made in Japan in the year of 1964, by the Ideal Toy Company. I have the condition as used, although I believe she is old new stock, in an old weathered box. However, since I have no way of knowing this I will put her condition down as used, but like new. First, I’ll get the negatives out of the way, which ...should be quick as there are very few. The main one is the box, there is a tear at the front bottom by the right side of the window, just above the Ideal logo. On the back portion of the box (triangular box, so I’ll do left side to right). On left side there is some of the art work torn as of tape or something sticky was pulled off (top portion). On the right side of back, bottom of box going up the left edge, looks as if it got a little water damage. Very little, and it does not permeate box to the inside, as so far as I could tell. The top of the box looks as if it has been open, well I am sure of it, as the flannel PJs included in the lot were put inside box.Lastly, the cellophane has been damaged in a couple tiny spots, as well as the glue that held it to the cardboard looks as if it had been compromised a bit on top and sides, but it still stays on without moving all around. Because of the looseness of the cellophane, I believe this has resulted in the only issue I can find with the actual doll herself. I think it may have rubbed over the tip of her index finger of her right hand. It looks very superficial and easy to clean, I just don’t feel comfortable taking her out or moving the cellophane. Extremely minor I would say, given her rarity.The positive is pretty simple as she is such a beautiful specimen, I could easily just say she is near perfect minus the minor finger ‘issue’, and I don’t even consider that a whole issue. The standard head discolouration is evident, which is a signature telltale sign she is a genuine Japan-made Pepper doll. The makeup and colouring of her face and skin is stunning. Her outfit is clean and vibrant as the day it came out of the factory. Her hair, again, same as the outfit and everything about her, as perfect as could be. She sits on her swing and looks off, waiting to be brought home to you! The sealed bag still on her head, a good indicator she was never taken out.This Japanese Pos’n Pepper has so much going for her, and you or I will be hard pressed to find another like her in this condition.
