Up for auction is the book, "Rendezvous With Destiny - A History of the 101st AirborneDivision". This is the 2000 Battery Press reprint of the 1948original that was authored by Leonard Rapport and Arthur Northwood, Jr.The book is 810 pages and is the premier history of the"Screaming Eagles". It is an invaluable reference. Thebook details the activities of the Division. The last 30 pages has acasualty roster, a list of the decorations earned by members of the Div...isionthat include the Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC), DistinguishedService Cross (DSC), Distinguished Service Medal (DSM), Legion of Merit, Medalof Honor, Soldier’s Medal, and Silver Star Medal. There are also numericlists of casualties by operation (action), units attached to the Division, strength of the units attached to the Division, and songs and poems of theDivision. The book is in excellent to near mint condition showing onlylight shelf wear.
