Click images to enlarge Description Presented for auction is this Superb Vintage Gents Longines Swiss Made 9ct Solid Gold Wristwatch, hallmarked for Birmingham 1964.Dial - The dial with subsidary seconds dial is a cream finished dial with raised gold arabic numeral and baton hour markers with minute markers around the outer edge and gold hands, the dial is marked Longines along with the Longines logo at the top and Swiss Made at the bottom. The dial is in excellent used condition with no signs of damage.Case - The casing is 9ct solid gold and is hallmarked to the inside of the back cover with 9.375 denoting 9ct solid gold, the Birmingham assay office Anchor, the Date letter P for 1964 and the case Makers mark A.L.D, it is also marked 13322 Baume Made In England 341340, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description. The casing is in excellent used condition with no dents, dings. splits or repairs but is engraved with a presentation inscription (see closeup photo).Movement - A high quality Longines Swiss Made 30L 17 jewels hand wound movement, which is in working order keeping good time +/- 2mins and is marked with the Longines serial number 12939336 and Longines 17 Jewels Swiss 30L.Glass - synthetic glass in nine carat solid gold casing. Good used condition with no signs of damage.Strap - New 18 genuine black leather replacement strap.Dimensions - Diameter excluding the winding crown and strap lugs is 32mm with a visible dial of 28mm approx.In summary this is a superb vintage solid nine carat gold Longines gentlemans wristwatch in excellent used condition and in working order. I have no idea when this wristwatch was last serviced, I would therefore recommend the new owner has it professionally cleaned and serviced by a watchsmith to maintain its working order.
