DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage German made Schatz "Royal Mariner" ships clock that rings the time with ships bells. It's an 8-day wind-up clock with a brass casem glass door, and a wooden ship's wheel. It measures 13 inches across from tip-to-tip of the ship's wheel. The face of the clock measures 5 inches across.CONDITION: This clock was stored in a closet for many years. I didn't see the key in the box it was stored in so I couldn't wind it to see if it runs. The original owner's Gra...nddaughter told me it runs well but I have no way to verify that. The glass cover is clear and scratch-free. The brass body is clean with no scratches. The wood wheel is also nice with no chips or scratches. On the side of the brass case next to the number 3 is a tab that may have had something to do with holding the door closed - not sure. The glass door stays closed when the clock is on the wall. All questions cheerfully answered.SHIPPING: Shipping within the United States will be by Priority Mail with Tracking and Delivery Confirmation. Priority requires less handling so there will be less chance of damage in transit. The clock will be packaged very carefully using bubble-wrap and lots foam chips.
