This auction is for an antique 1945 stunning Trifari sterling vermeil Philippe Golden Bow Swirl ruby and moonstone pin. Hallmarked Trifari with crown, Des Pat 140896, sterling. Pin is sterling vermeil which means it is sterling that has been plated with gold. Vermeil has worn off quite a bit so it looks more sterling silver, although I have not cleaned it so might look more gold if cleaned. Red stones are rubies, cabochons are moonstone, white stones are rhinestones. Measur...es 3.7" x 2.1". Condition would be excellent but it is missing 1 small rhinestone that I have taken a close up of. A Philippe who was a french designer was the designer of this piece applied for the patent in 1945. Providence of this piece indicates that it has been handed down through 2 generations of women. There is another of these listed now on ebay and a much much higher price.
