An original John Piper designed fabric for Sanderson to celebrate their centenary in 1960. A example of this fabric, entitled "Stones of Bath" was exhibited in the "John Piper" retrospective exhibition in the Tate Gallery in 1983. An example is also held in the V & A 20th Century Textile Archives The fabric is in excellent condition. It is clean with no flaws, tears, stains or fading. Wonderful considering this is almost 60 years old. This piece... measure 108cm L x 124cm W, selvedge to selvedge. One selvedge has been hemmed back and the other selvedge, showing the attribution, has a stitch line where the fabric has been unpicked. Please examine all my photos carefully before buying as I do like everyone to be happy with the fabrics I sell. All lovely feedback is appreciated as this also confirms you have received my fabric. I will also leave feedback!
