This antique table was produced in the late 19th c., when the Eastlake was at its height in America. It features the classic Eastlake incised mouldings and reeded serpentine legs connected by a highly ornate center peaking in a reverse finial. The base is beautifully spindled and is provided support from all four legs. There are two tables available, each being sold separately. They are made from solid walnut and have a dark burlwood veneer on the top inset apron holding ...the granite in place. The granite piece is original in both tables. The dark pink and white granite is inset and held in place by a detachable apron, rather than just resting atop the table supports. This gives the tables a significant amount more stability that other similar pieces. The entire piece is hand-carved and hand-assembled, with visible saw marks and uneven curves on the inner spindles and finials from hand-turning. They measure 29" high, 23 1/2" wide, and 22" deep. Each individual table weighs approximately 10-15 lbs. These antique tables are in very good condition for their age but does show minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. There are scuffs and nicks visible on the legs of both pieces as well as wear and slight staining to both granite tops. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
