Buccellati Sterling Silver Artichoke Table Lighter
Beautifully made sterling silver artichoke-shaped table lighter from the prestigious silversmith Mario Buccellati. The lighter dates from the 70s.
The artichoke casing is in excellent condition with barely a sign of wear, no damage or repairs and no severe scraches etc… truly beautiful. The artichoke is modelled in spectacular detail.
The removable lighter is not currently working. The mechanism works perfectly... and the flint strikes perfectly, but try as I might I cannot get gas into the tank. It does not leak out, I simply cannot get it in! For this reason the lighter is sold explicitly as defect. It can most likely be fitted with a replacement or there is some nack to filling which I am not aware of. Please take this into account when purchasing.
I would also like to stress that the actual lighter insert will only be delivered within Europe. For safetly reasons, the lighter insert can not be shipped outside of Europe. If you wish to purchase and are living outside of Europe, please be aware that the lighter insert will be removed before shipping and you will receive the casing only.
