RARE - Patented July 2, 1900 Iron Snow Eagle. Used on on the slate rook over the doors of our old stone house in Lancaster County, PA to keep snow or ice from falling onto unsuspecting people below. I thought all of them were gone, but this one turned up in a shed that was being cleaned out. It is without a doubt a gorgeous piece of iron. It's very well done, and stands on it's own or could be attached to the top of a flag pole. Measures: 5 3/8" T...all x 6 1/8" Across. It is without rust or defect of any kind. A lovely piece of history from a more stately time. My family has owned this still working farm in central Virginia for over 240 years and the farm in Lancaster County, PA where we grow corn and alfalfa for our cows even longer. We're selling some of our antiques, primitives, collectibles, etc. from our Virginia and Lancaster County Farms to raise funds to save an old house on the Virginia Farm dating to the early 1740's. ALWAYS combined and best method shipping. If I can ship for less I will refund the difference to your PayPal. I do check different carriers for the best rate. If shipping seems high PLEASE Contact me.
