Hard to find Pair of French Cast Iron Fire Dogs
I purchased them years ago at auction, and they have been used in my fireplace until recently
They feature a lady's head with wonderful Braided hair
They are cast iron and I believe are Circa 1870s to 1880s
Both are structurally sound and just need a bit of love and cleaning

They are stamped "ALSACE" on the front

Measurements:
13" Long
7.5" Tall
4" Wide
They are standard size, and will fit nicely in ...any size fire box or hearth
