Original Description:
This is a pair of 1920s Chinese LOTUS SHOES/SLIPPERS for women with bound feet. They have hand-embroidered silk and measure about 4" long. They appear to be unworn and are attached together by a thread at the top. They show some slight discoloration from storage but are otherwise in pristine condition. These were brought to the USA by an American man who worked in Shanghai, China in the 1920s to early 1930s for the Dollar Steamship Line (now called Matson).
