As of recently, Ebay has increased our seller fees by 40%...from 10% to 14%. We operate on very small profit margins and this increase will be forcing us to stop selling sports cards in auction format in the near future. We have already lost one of our highly valued consignors.In the past, we accepted a return request no matter what the reason but now we are being forced to evaluate each and every return request. With all fairness to Ebay, about 80% of our return request we deem frivolous. What does that mean? It means that the majority of our refund requests we receive, the buyer indicates it is our (the seller's) fault...which is not entirely correct. Here are two very common examples of this. Example 1: A buyer will return an item stating that it does not match the item's pictures or description. When the buyer submits a more detailed reason...they will state something like the card has a crease. If they would have read the description and looked at the images, they would have read where the description STATED the card had a crease and it was even SHOWN in the picture. Instead, they return the card making it look like the seller is at fault by choosing "does not match pictures or description" and Ebay holds the seller responsible. Buyers....this happens more than you can imagine and even explaining things to Ebay on numerous occasions, they still hold it against the seller and raise our selling fees.Example 2: A buyer will buy a card and choose the reason, "doesn't seem authentic." I have been in the hobby for 30+ years and I have NEVER sold a fake, reprint, or counterfeit card and claimed it to be 100% authentic....and I never will. However, mentioning to Ebay that I can provide evidence the card is not a fake does not do anything. Ebay still will hold that against the seller and hence raise selling fees by 40%. (4% of 10% = 40% increase).GLAH's sustainability can not happen with this huge increase in seller's fees. We still believe in 100% customer satisfaction, but we need our customers to read our item's description too. Thank you.PLEASE NOTE: I AM MARKING MY ITEMS AS NO RETURNS. In regards to the opinion of our customer, IF the submitted card(s) for grading received an unsatisfactory grade, this isNO grounds for a refund. GLAH has a 3-day refund policy on a case-by-casebasis. Another example of a refund not being granted is if you contact GLAH andsay you want a refund because household bills are too high for the month. Thisis NO grounds for a refund. We will only grant a refund if the item ismisrepresented in our description, and if the card is returned in its originalcondition in which it was shipped. GLAH's description of cards sold describethe characteristics of the raw card as accurately as possible. Any grades thatGLAH assigns to cards are strictly their opinion.
