It has also had a refret that is a good job.If you add 150.00 in cheap parts from Allparts you will havean amazing vintage player!!! My repeat customersknow that I know quality in archtop projects...this is a winner! I have awebsite devoted to the BK models from early 60's...they are fab jazz players. The headstock is now joined with a scarf joint. This is no big deal.....major builders suchas Mark Campellone join their headstocks in this manner to add strength. This is a really nice job....you can feel itjust the tiniest bit....it is visible but the stinger paint job looks great ontop of it. Again, it is a pro job andpresents no issue. The neck has been refinned most of the way up and looksreally good."Microscopic" evidence of possible neck reset and fret job.It is a good job.The body retains really good color and gloss and has alot ofchecking throughout....fantastic vintage look. It's bright and has good flame and a good retro look. It will make areally nice player when you add the parts of your choice. Flame in the back isREALLY stunning. Spruce top is desirableand adds a really warm tone. You can 'make' a great vintage player for afraction of what a complete one costs today. Structurally solid.Fret job is excellent. You shouldn't have to do much except add parts. Maybe do a light fret level to suit yourtaste. Neck looks good siting down fromthe headstock. Angle/set is correct.Really a solid nice shell to build your dream jazz guitarfor small money.A strap button holehas been added in a good location on the heel. The strap button is a vintageLes Paul TV or Junior type in black plastic...looks good! Tuner holes areoriginal kluson holes!!!!The neck profile is a desirable ‘wide flat’ of the early60s, and the nut is 1 and 11/16ths…nice and wide. A neck profile anyone couldlove!Spruce top....wide-flat neck profile....excellent mellowjazz voice.
