Western India - Dated by inscription to Samvat 1637/1580 CE. A Jain Tirthankara brass alloy shrine statue shown in meditation on a throne supported by lions and elephants flanked by jinas and attendants supporting multi tier canopies with further deities and birds, the statue profusely embellished with inlaid silver; the back with inscription and date in Nagari.
Size: 20.5 x 13.5 cm.
Condition: Good overall with rubbing from worshiped, age related verdigris patina and incrustation.
