THIS SET WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM EASTFIELD INTERIORS IN BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND IN 1974 AND IS BEING OFFERED FOR SALE BY THE ORIGINAL ENGLISH OWNER. IT COMES FROM A SMOKE FREE & PET FREE HOME WITH LESS THAN NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. IT IS EXTREMELY UNUSUAL TO FIND THE ORIGINAL MATCHING SUITE OF VINTAGE FU...RNITURE. THE CONDITION IS VERY GOOD GIVEN THE AGE. THIS BEAUTIFUL SUITE COMES COMPLETE WITH THE PROVENANCE. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.(listed first are photographs of this suite from owner's original location and the last few are from new location, and then a scan of the original brochure which shows the wing chairs and ottoman and another shows this exact sofa. (there were a few different styles to chose from in the brochure).This button tufted set with bronze toned brass nail head trim is all original. It is constructed of kiln dried wood frame, horse hair and fiber to ensure a firm and everlasting shape to the deep buttoning. (copied from brochure). The design of the Chesterfield incorporates reversible square seat cushioning.THE SOFA MEASURES:approx. 7' long x 3' deep x 28" high. Sofa cushions are approx. 20.5" wide x 23" deep x 3.5" high. There are four round casters on each corner of sofa.THE WING CHAIRS MEASURE:approx. 42" high to back of chair x 26" wide at back and 32" wide end to end of (wings): arm 25" high, seat 18"high from floorTHE OTTOMANS MEASURE:approx. 14" high x 17. 5" deep x 26. 5" wideCondition: The leather hide has been regularly fed and cleaned with hide cream. It is in excellent condition for the age. There is one button missing from the corner of one of the ottomans (maybe have this somewhere). There is a small tear in the cambric dust cover on the underside of the sofa.
