Here is a good looking 113 year old Hamilton 940 Railroad Grade 21 Jewel Pocket Watch with a good looking 20 Year gold filled swing-out Fahys case. Measures 55.9 mm wide not including the bow and crown. The double sunken SIGNED dial does have a few minor imperfections. There is a small edge chip at the 11:50 positi...on and a hairline at the 3:45 position. Otherwise the double sunken dial is very nice. Has bold Arabic hour markers and a red outer 5 minute chapter ring. Blued matching hands. The crystal is clean. This Hamilton model 1 has a beautiful 21 jewel 5 adjust plus temperature USA made movement and is running. The serial # 524840 dates this Hamilton watch to 1906. It has gold jewel settings and screwed chatons. Lever set and micrometer regulator. Just wonderful Hamilton quality. The case back does have a zig-zag dent but does not show much in wear or brassing. The glass crystal has a some light scratches but is still very presentable. While this circa. 1906 Hamilton watch is running I am selling it as-is and as found. Just a classic example of the watches that ran the Railroads here is the USA. I have no service records for this 113 year old Hamilton RR watch and am selling it as-is and as found.
